  • Men's Cross Country Secures A Spot to NCAA DII National Championship

    (HILLSDALE, Michigan)- The Walsh Men's Cross Country team finished third overall at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships securing their spot to compete in the National Championship.
  • Men's XC Runners-Up In G-MAC Championship

    Walsh’s bid to win a second consecutive Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship fell just short at GlenOak High School on Saturday. The Cavaliers finished with 51 points, just three shy of rival Malone for the top spot. Last season, it was the Cavaliers who edged the Pioneers by one point for the championship.
  • Walsh To Host G-MAC Cross Country Championships

    Walsh will be hosting its first G-MAC Championship event since joining the conference last season when teams gather for the cross country championships tomorrow at GlenOak High School. The women's race will start things off at 11 a.m. with 14 teams competing for the title. The men will follow at noon with 13 teams racing.
  • Walsh Sixth at Pre-National Meet

    The Walsh men’s cross country team took on some stiff competition and finished sixth in the Pre-National meet hosted by Slippery Rock a Schenley Park in the Steel City Saturday. The Cavaliers finished with a team total of 169.
  • Men Up to No. 15, Women Steady at No. 16 In National Polls

    With an off-week, there wasn’t much movement in the USTFCCCA national and regional polls, but the Walsh men did move up two spots to No. 15. The Cavalier women remain ranked at No. 16 in the nation. Both teams kept their respective spots in the regional polls.
  • Men's XC Up to No. 17, Women Now No. 16 Nationally

    Both of Walsh’s cross country teams remain ranked in the top 25 nationally in the polls released today by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This week the men’s team rose two spots to No. 17 for a new season best. The women’s team dropped down six spots, but still come in the top 20 at No. 16.
  • No. 19 Men's XC Finishes Seventh of 27 at Lewis

    A strong core of teams competed in Lewis’ Conference Crossover this morning and No. 19 Walsh finished well amongst the group with a seventh place finish in a field of 27. The Cavaliers had a team score of 233.

    There was a little movement involved for both of Walsh’s cross country teams in this week’s Division II National Coaches’ Poll as released by the USTFCCCA. The women’s team dropped one spot, but remains highly ranked at No. 12. The men’s team climbed one spot to No. 18 for its highest ranking of the season.
  • Walsh Remains In Top 25 In USTFCCCA Week 1 Poll

    The USTFCCCA has released its Week 1 National Coaches' Poll and the Walsh Cavaliers continue to be ranked in the top 25 for both programs. The women's team jumped up two spots from the preseason poll to No. 11, while the men's team remained at No. 19.
  • Cross Country Sweeps Athlete of the Week Awards

    After starting the season in excellent fashion with a pair of wins at the National Catholic Meet, Walsh sports both of the G-MAC's Athletes of the Week for this week. Andra Lehotay was named for the women's team ranked No. 13 in the nation, while Mark Hadley took the honors for the men's squad ranked No. 19.
  • No. 19 Men Dominate at Notre Dame's National Catholic Meet

    The Walsh cross country teams started the year in spectacular fashion as both the men's and women's teams finished first amongst the non-Division I teams at the National Catholic Meet Friday. The event was hosted by the University of Notre Dame.

    The 2018 NCAA Division II Cross Country Preseason National and Regional Coaches' Rankings were released and Walsh men's and women's teams are ranked in both polls. The women earned the highest national ranking as they debut at No. 13. The men come into the season at No. 19. Both teams are ranked fourth among the regional competition.
  • Men Picked No. 1, Women No. 2 in G-MAC XC Preseason Polls

    The Walsh Cavaliers dominate the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour for 2018 as released today. The men were picked to defend their conference title with 143 total points and 11 first place votes among the thirteen-team field. The women’s team were also among the favorites and picked second with 154 points and one first place vote.
