NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Coming off a historic 2018-19 season where the Walsh Cavaliers women's basketball team reached new heights in the Division II era, the 2019-20 season comes into view as the first game on the 2019-20 schedule is coming 59 days from now. The Cavaliers have announced the schedule for the season on Tuesday (Sept. 9) morning. Walsh were the co-champions of the regular season, they won the G-MAC tournament and made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The team was 25-7 overall and was one of three teams that tied atop the G-MAC stadndings with an 18-4 record.

  • Wayne State/Ferris State - November 8-9th (GLIAC/G-MAC Crossover)
  • at Ashland - November 26th
  • at Edinboro - December 3rd
  • Lake Erie - December 7th (G-MAC Opener)
  • West Liberty - December 18th

  • 4 teams made the NCAA Division II Tournament (Lindenwood, Ashland, Edinboro, and West Liberty)

Location Breakdown:

  • 14 home games
    • Three game homestand to open season in November (11/8-11/13)
    • The game against West Liberty will be played at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in downtown Cleveland on December 18th
    • Walsh will play two straight home games, opening the 2020 portion
    • Four of seven games in February are at Alumni Arena
    • Home games by month: November-4, December-1, January-4, February-4
    • Walsh went 16-2 at Alumni Arena last season

    • Walsh will play no more than two straight road games throughout the season
