(COLUMBUS, Indiana) - The Women's golf team falls 2 shots to Ohio Dominican to finish fifth at the GMAC Fall Invite at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. After a suprisingly hot day 2 on the course the Cavs finished the 2 day 54 hole event just shy of fourth place.
Leading the way for the Maroon and Gold was senior Michele Vlacovsky. Vlacovsky carded a 3 day total of 244 (82,81,81) putting her at 14th place finish individually. Kayleigh McHugh followed right behind with a 3 day total 248 (82, 86, 80) finishing T17. Kerra Loomis fired a 3 day total of 250 (80, 83, 87) and freshmen Alexis Green posted a 54 hole total of 259 (84, 90, 85). Rounding out the top 5 for the Cavs was Amanda Scala with 281 ( 98,95, 88) for her 3 day total. Lauren Hatfield
The University of Findlay ran away with first place after their impressive record breaking 54 hole team score of 876. Tiffin University placed second with a 54 hole total 969 just beating Trevecca Nazarene University by 5 strokes.
