(COLUMBUS, Ohio) - The Walsh University Women's Golf team traveled to Columbus Monday and Tuesday(April 8-9) to compete in the NC4K College Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University at Jefferson Country Club. The Cavaliers would finish the event in eleventh place out of nineteen teams after posting a two day total of 659 with rounds of 327 and 332.
Michele Vlacovsky would lead the Maroon and Gold over the two days. Vlacovsky carded rounds of 80 and 78 to land her in twenty-third place overall. Vlacovsky was third in the field overall on Par 3 scoring as should would end the event at plus one over the two days. Kerra Loomis followed right behind her teammate and would stay consistent over the two days posting matching rounds of 80. The senior would end up tied for twenty seventh overall. Loomis finished second over all in the event in Par 3 scoring at even.
Senior Amanda Scala carded a two day total 169 as she posted rounds of 83 and 86. Rounding out the line up for the Cavs were Senior Kayleigh McHugh posting rounds of 84 and 86 and Alexis Green tallying rounds of 92 and 90. The Maroon and Gold squad would land themselves fifth on the list for overall team Par's made at 83 for the two day event.
The University of Indianapolis improved thirteen shots on day two to take home the team win at 599 (306-293). Greyhound golfer Pilar Echeverria would walk away with the individual medalist title after posting rounds of 72-71 giving her a two day total of 143.
The Cavaliers are at home this weekend where they will host the Cav Classic at Glenmoor Country Club Saturday and Sunday.
