Castro Paces the Cavs on Day Two of GMAC Preview

(OWENSBORO, KY)- The Walsh Women's Golf team completed round two of the GMAC Fall Preview 5 shots better than day one. The Cavaliers tallied a final round 323 to add to their previous round of 328 to land them seventh overall. 

Leading the way for the maroon and gold was Sophomore Isabelle Castro. Castro fired a final round 76 to land her tied for seventeenth place overall. Consistency was key for Maria Contreras Luna who followed right behind Castro with back to back rounds of 80. Freshmen Madison Ardelean improved four strokes from her day one total and card a 79 for day two. The Hoover grad placed twenty fifth overall. Alexis Green and Francesca Sberna shot rounds of 88 and 90 respectively to round out the Cavalier lineup.

The University of Findlay took home the team title with two impressive days on the course after firing rounds of 294 and 293.

The Cavs hit the links this Saturday and Sunday in Columbus at the CT Classic at Cumberland Trails.
