Bulldog Invite Cut Short Due to Weather

(BIG RAPIDS, MICHIGAN) - The Walsh University Women's Golf team traveled North over the weekend to compete in the Bulldog Invite hosted by Ferris State University. The two day event was played at Katke Golf Course located on the campus of Ferris State. The Cavaliers sat in fourth place after day one with a team total of 327. Day two of the event was cancelled due to inclement weather.

For the Maroon and Gold, Maria Contreras Luna led the way on day one after carding a 77. Maria ended up placing sixth place overall for the event. Madison Ardelean followed right behind her teammate adding a score of 79 for the Cavaliers, landing her tied for eighth place overall. Isabelle Castro added an 82 for the Cavs and finished tied for sixteenth. Alexis Green and Francesca Sberna rounded out the Cavalier lineup after scoring 89 and 95, respectively. Grace Thompson competed as an individual and carded an 87 for her round.

Saginaw Valley State took home the title after their day one total of 311.

The Maroon and Gold travel to the University of Findlay October 7th & 8th to compete in the Beall Fall Classic.
