(FINDLAY, OHIO) - The Walsh University Women's Golf team traveled to Findlay over the weekend to compete in the Beall Fall Classic. The Cavaliers competed in the 54 hole event against 17 teams from the region and finished with a three round total of 982.
For the Cavaliers, Freshmen Madison Ardelean would lead the way after firing a collegiate career low, 1 under par 71, in her first round. She would follow that up with rounds of 80 and 79. Ardelean would end up finishing tied for thirteenth place overall. Maria Contreras Luna and Isabelle Castro would be next in line for the maroon and gold. Both players would end up tied for forty-fourth place after carding a 54 hole total of 243. Contreras Luna would card 81-78-84 while Castro kept it consistent with rounds of 80-80-83. Alexis Green and Grace Thompson added rounds (88-87-92) and (91-95-91) respectively. Francesca Sberna would play in the event as an individual and would place tied for eighty fourth place overall with a 54 hole round score of 265.
The University of Indianapolis would win the event with a 54 hole total of 886.
The Cavaliers head South to Nashville for their last road trip of the Fall season to compete in the Music City Invite October 14th and 15th.
