NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Women's soccer head coach David Renard has announced another addition to the 2019 recruiting class on Monday (Feb. 18) morning.
"Grace is a great kid and will be a big addition to our program next fall," said Renard. "She comes from a top club and can play in multiple positions for us. She's very technical, has a ton of pace, and loves to compete so she'll fit in well here."
Grace Moore, from Assumption High School in Louisville, Kentucky, has signed her Letter of Intent and will join the program in the Fall of 2019.
Moore played soccer at Assumption High School while being a part of the Kentucky Fire Juniors soccer club. She was also a sprinter on the Assumption track team.
"Walsh University is a perfect fit for me," said Moore. "Coming from out of state allows me to branch out and gain new experiences. The smaller setting allows me to really get to know my professors and be able to have a strong connection with them. I loved the warm community and the beauty of the school. I just had an overall feeling of excitement after I saw the field and thought of my future here!"
At Assumption, she was a 2019 Senior Captain, while being the leading scorer and the team's Offensive Player of the Year. She earned MVP honors at the Lexington Catholic Cup as her team won the tourney. She was named Kentucky Player's Academy Player of the Week and All-Region Second Team.
In the classroom, Moore was Academic All-State and earned Second Honors all four years of high school.
She joins the 2019 recruiting class of Sabrina Ortenzi and Megan Anderson.
