INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - For the second time this season, senior forward Olivia Peters was recognized by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference by being named Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Nov. 12).
Peters totaled three goals between the regular season finale and the G-MAC Quarterfinal on 11 shots (ten on goal).
Against Malone on Tuesday (Nov. 5), the senior found the back of the net twice as she scored in the 3rd and 84th minute at home. She took five shots with all five on goal, including the two goals.
Saturday's (Nov. 9) Quarterfinal matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan was a scoreless battle for the first 75 minutes. Peters broke the scoreless drought with a goal in the 80th minute on a breakaway, going one-on-one with the keeper. Her tenth goal of the year pushed the Cavaliers to the G-MAC Semifinal on Thursday (Nov. 14) in Dayton. She had six shots taken, with five on goal against the Panthers.
On the season, Peters has scored ten goals with eight of them being game-winning goals. She is fourth in the conference in goals and second in Division II with eight game-winning goals. With six assists, Peters is third in the G-MAC with 26 points.
The G-MAC Semifinal takes place on Thursday (Nov. 14) at 12:00 PM as Walsh takes on Cedarville.
