(CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh snapped a three-game skid in impressive fashion with a dominating win over Shawnee State on Saturday evening. The Cavaliers improved to 3-5 while the Bears dropped to 2-5 on the season.

The Cavaliers were so dominant that they yielded only a combined four games in all nine matches. One game in second doubles and first singles, while two others came in separate sets at second singles.

Clara Drasch and Sofia Khairutdinova had perfect days as they went through doubles and singles action without giving up a game. Drasch paired with Mercedes Fernandez at first doubles to make quick work of Jessica Willard and Kathleen Singer 8-0 before defeating Singer again in singles action at the three spot.

Khairutdinova paired with Parvanee Karimpour to score an 8-0 win over Caleigh O'Neal and Alexandrea Hettinger at third doubles before taking down O'Neal again at fifth singles.

Walsh will be back in action over Spring Break with matches at Eckerd and St. Petersburg College.
