Women's Tennis Finds Success at ITA's
September 17, 2018(ALLENDALE, Mich.) - The Walsh women’s tennis team found success at the ITA Regional Championships this past weekend hosted by Grand Valley State University. Sophomore, Clara Drasch had an impressive weekend as she’s won three matches thus far in B Singles. In the first round, Drasch defeated Madison Devillez of Bellarmine (6-0, 6-2). She then defeated Gyselle Daza Gutierrez of Saginaw Valley (6-3, 6-0) in the second round and Irena van Meer of Wayne State (6-3, 6-2) in the third round. -
Beidacki Shines in Final Day of ITA's
September 17, 2018(ALLENDALE, Mich.) – In the final day of the ITA Regional Tournament, the Walsh women’s tennis team came back to life in the A Singles Consolation and A Doubles Consolation brackets. Sophomore Nicole Beidacki stormed the competition, making it the finals before conceding to Maja Pindelska of University of Indianapolis. Beidacki defeated Hillsdale’s Kamryn Matthews in the first round (6-2, 6-3), Bellarmin’s Maggie Walroth in the second round (6-2, 6-3), UMSL’s Leticia Lunge in the third round (6-4, 6-1), and Maryville’s Bascunana in the fourth round (6-2, 6-0). -
