(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh Women's Tennis team sign Perrysburg High School standout Kyleigh Henthorn for the 2019-20 season.
Henthorn is a well decorated high school athlete as her overall high school record was an impressive 87-14. She was named the NLL(Northern Lakes League) Champion, NLL Player of the Year, and NLL first team. Henthorn was the 2018 Sectional Champion and later became the District Runner-up. She would then qualify for the State Championship in doubles. She helped to lead the Yellowjackets to a 3rd place overall finish in the State Tournament, where she was able to add All-State honors to her list of accomplishments. In addition, she was ranked #1 by the United States Tennis Association for Girls 18 & Under for Northwest Ohio.
Coach Whittaker said, "As her future college coach, I am thrilled that Kyleigh decided to continue her tennis career here at Walsh University. Kyleigh had tremendous success in high school in both singles and doubles and has demonstrated a ferocious desire to continually improve her game. I am confident Kyleigh will contribute to the success of our team and continue her success in the classroom as well."
