Salem International Edges Cavaliers, 4-3

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The women's tennis team at Walsh University battled the Salem International Tigers on Sunday (Feb. 3) at home.

The Cavaliers fell to 2-3 on the season after dropping the match 4-3 to the Tigers. 

Salem International picked up three points with victories in the first three singles matches. Nicole Beidacki won her fourth singles match, a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Kristina Vuksanovic. Sofia Khairutdinova earned a point for Walsh with a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Brianna Vasquez in fifth singles. Parvanee Karimpour won via default in sixth singles, knotting the score at three heading to doubles. 

The Tigers won the first two doubles matches, clinching the match 4-3. Clara Drasch and Khairutdinova won by default in the third doubles match. 

The women's tennis team will host Daemen College on Saturday, February 16th at 4:00 PM.
