Men and Women's Tennis Drop Battles Against Timberwolves

MIDLAND, Mich. – The Walsh men's and women's tennis teams continued the Michigan swing with a match against the Northwood Timberwolves on Monday (Feb. 18) morning.

The men's team fell 6-1 while the women's team was defeated 7-0.

On the men's side, Northwood clinched the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches. Jakob Riglewski battled for a three set win in the first singles bout. He prevailed against Kobus Sauerman 5-3, 0-6, 10-8. Northwood won five singles matches despite Dawson Drummond forcing a third set in the third singles match.

The women's match saw a similar theme with Northwood starting off with the doubles point. Clara Drasch and Nicole Beidacki both went to a third set but fell in the fourth and fifth singles slot, respectively.

The men's team will face Wayne State on Tuesday (Feb. 19) at 3:30 PM while the women's team will travel to Lewis on Saturday (Feb. 23).
