Women's 4x400 Set New School Mark at GLIACs

(UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.) – The Walsh women's track and field team finished the GLIAC Indoor Championships in 12th place at Saginaw Valley State University this weekend. The Cavaliers scored all nine of their points on Saturday. Grand Valley State took home the conference championship with 156.5 points. Ashland was the runner-up with 107 points.

While the women didn't place in any events on Sunday, there was still something to be excited about. The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Kaitlin Barber (Fr., Toledo, OH/Whitmer), Hannah Luke (Fr., Massillon, OH/Perry), Anne Wise (Jr., Randolph, OH/Waterloo), and Mikayla Dearing (So., Navarre, OH/Perry) hit a new school record with a time of 3:57.57.

Overall, the Walsh track and field program as a whole hit three provisional marks, eight new school records, 15 personal bests, and 23 season best performances.

The Cavs are off for a few weeks before the outdoor season begins. The first meet on the slate is the Amy Adams Invitational hosted by Muskingum College on Saturday, March 21.
