Four Cavaliers Crowned G-MAC Champions, Women Finish Second

HILLSDALE, Michigan - On the help of 30 top eight finishes and four conference champions, the Walsh Cavaliers women's track and field team finished second in the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hillsdale this weekend. 

The team totaled 156 points, behind conference champion Tiffin. 

Andra Lehotay added another G-MAC title to her resume as she was victorious in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:35.67. 

Brianna Coy won the G-MAC Championship in the 5000 meter run, hitting a NCAA D2 Provo mark of 17:07.73. 

Alexandra Rodgers was the champion in the javelin throw as she topped the field with a best throw of 36.37 meters. 

Malia Turley won the G-MAC Hammer Throw title with a Provo toss of 54.32 meters.
