Women's XC Finishes 2nd at G-MAC Championship

NOVELTY, Ohio – The Walsh Cavaliers women's cross country team finished second at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships at the Laurel School-Butler Campus on Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon.

Walsh totaled 46 points, just behind G-MAC Champion Hillsdale with 43 points. The Cavaliers saw five of their runners finish in the top 13, earning All-Conference honors.

Alexa Leppelmeier was fifth overall with a time of 21:06.8 and Claire Robertson was seventh with a final time of 21:12.1. Both runners were on the All-Conference First Team.

Andra Lehotay ran a time of 21:26.0, as she rounded out the top ten of the runners involved. Bridget Hahn finished 11th in route to being named G-MAC Freshman of the Year as she ran a time of 21:28.9. Bre Bakan crossed the line in 13th place with a time of 21:37.7. All three runners ended up on the All-Conference Second Team.

The Cavaliers will prepare for the NCAA Midwest Regional in Evansville, Indiana on November 9th.
