(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Newly named cheerleading head coach Lisa Selinsky has unveiled tryout plans for the 2020-21 Walsh Cavaliers cheerleading squad. Due to COVID-19 guidelines to ensure safety for all parties, the tryout will be done through a video submission method.
Potential athletes must complete and submit the following two documents prior to August 26th, 2020.
With the virtual tryout format, individuals must record themselves completing the following original material.
- 45 second dance
- Cheer containing at least 1 jump and 1 additional skill (jump, tumble)
- Crowd involvement chant
- One of each of the following Jumps - toe, double toe, pike (Bonus - jump connected to tumbling skill)
- Stunting (if possible) please show/explain stunting experience
- Optional bonus: standing and running tumbling
While completing your videos, please wear a Walsh University or plain white shirt and dark shorts. Hair must be neat and pulled back in a ponytail with bow. Makeup should be game day ready.
