Walsh University's Sports Medicine staff is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to all student-athletes in the Department of Athletics. This is accomplished through our unique partnerships with Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and United Ortho Spectrum Campus. 

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital employs seven full-time Athletic Trainers and two full-time Physical Therapists to Walsh University. In addition Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital provides physical therapy services in house for all student-athletes. Walsh University is paired with United Ortho Spectrum Campus for orthopedic and primary care physician services.

Our Sports Medicine Team will strive to provide evidence-based, individualized care to our student-athletes, while keeping their integrity within the team at Walsh University. Our highly qualified professionals are compassionate to the beliefs of the student-athlete and deliver the appropriate attention to their needs, regardless of gender, race, creed, or scholarship status. 

Should a student-athlete need additional medical care, the Athletic Trainer will assist the student-athlete/family in coordinating the proper care. If necessary, the athlete may be referred to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, United Ortho Spectrum Campus, or to an outside source for further evaluation and/or treatment. The Athletic Training staff will follow all policies and procedures set forth by the university and athletics department.
