Codi Casper

Codi Casper was hired in 2024 as Walsh's Strength and Conditioning Coach. Since taking over, Codi has brought a new energy in to the weight room and has positively impacted the Walsh Athletic Department. In Spring of 2025, he was honored as "Staff Member of the Year," at the annual WESPY award celebration. That year was also the first year of the Male and Female Strength Athlete of the Year, which Codi implemented.

Casper is a 2015 graduate of Robert Morris University where he played Strong Safety for the Colonials, earning Strength Athlete of the year as a senior. This award is given to one male and one female senior student-athlete across all 23 D1 sports at RMU. Casper was a student intern for the RMU Strength Staff in spring of 2015.

After graduating, Casper went on to intern at Elitefts in London, OH, working under the direction of Dave Tate and Mark Watts. In August of 2015, Casper came back to RMU, serving as an Assistant Strength Coach for 4 years, under the leadership of Todd Hamer. He worked with Football, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball and Softball.

In January of 2019, Casper went on to be the Assistant Head Strength Coach at NST Sports Performance in North Canton for 3 years and then promoted to Head Strength Coach at NST Sports Performance in New Philadelphia thru August of 2024.

While at NST, Casper worked with hundreds of athletes ages 6 to college ranks, developing specific programs to increase athlete performance in strength, speed, mobility, and injury prevention.

"I am beyond excited to be apart of Walsh University. The athletes here will always receive nothing but my best. My goal is to develop athletes and put them in the best position to succeed not just in their sport, but in life after sports."

Casper is a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and is a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Casper currently lives in Louisville, Ohio with his wife, Brandi, and their daughter, Bailey.
