David Gramlich joined the Cavaliers in July of 2022 and serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations/Assistant Compliance Coordinator.
Before Walsh, Gramlich served as Assistant Athletic Director and Cross Country & Track Coach at Malone University from 2018-2022. At Malone, Gramlich was responsible for game operations, business operations, and equipment operations for an athletic department featuring 20 sports. During his coaching tenure, he led the Pioneer Men’s Cross Country team to the 2018 G-MAC Championship title and multiple G-MAC individual track and field titles. Gramlich also developed multiple NCAA All-American Athletes.
From 2013-2018, he was the Women's Cross Country Coach and Director of Track and Field Operations at the University of Akron in charge of the Women's Cross Country program. He organized team travel, equipment operations as well as managed home meet operations for the NCAA Division 1 Zips. Gramlich was part of a coaching staff that won Mid American Conference Team Track and Field Titles in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018.
Before that, he was the head cross country coach and assistant track coach at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
Gramlich competed for Malone from 2000-2005 earning 10 NAIA All-American Awards. Highlighting his standout career, he captured gold in the men's marathon at the 2005 NAIA Outdoor Track Championships. He also qualified for the United States Olympic Trials in the Men’s Marathon.
Native of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Gramlich received his Bachelors in Education in 2005 and earned his MBA in Business Administration in 2009, both from Malone University. He and his wife, Leta, and their two children, Elia and Beckham, reside in North Canton.
