Jodie Cress has been apart of the Walsh Cavalier Volleyball Program since 2019. She has been a huge part of the Cavaliers success, especially in the division titles in 2023 and 2025. 

Before Walsh, Cress was the Head Volleyball Coach at Louisville High School, where she ranked as the winningest coach in volleyball history, as well as earning Northeastern Buckeye Conference (NBC) Coach of the Year honors four times. The Leopards were named four-time NBC Champions and two-time District IV Runner-Up with Cress at the helm. 

Prior to Louisville, Cress served as the graduate assistant at Muskingham University where she earned a Master's Degree in elementary curriculum and instruction. She spent her undergraduate years at Marietta College where she earned a degree in early childhood education and a K-12 reading endorsement. Cress set a school record at Marietta for career blocks (345) and also set a single season individual record for block assists (80). Cress was named Ohio Athletic Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2001. 

Cress currently is a third grade teacher in Louisville.
