Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Ohio Dominican University (6-4-2, 3-3-1) handed Walsh (3-7-1, 0-6) a 4-1 defeat at Len Millazzo Field tonight in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match-up. The loss keeps the Cavs winless in the GLIAC at 0-6, and drops their overall record to 3-7-1. The Cavs look to break a four-game losing streak on Sunday, when they host Ashland University in a GLIAC at 1 pm.
Jessie Gearhart (So., Wadsworth, OH/HS) gave a Walsh a 1-0 at 20:29 when she scored on an assist from Kristin Conti (So., Hartville,OH/Lake) on a breakaway. It was Gearhart's third goal of the season.
ODU tied the game a little less than ten minutes later when Kelly Johnson scored unassisted at 30:10. The first half ended tied 1-1.
The Panthers took a 2-1 lead at 52:10, when Sydney Simpson scored on a header off a corner from the right side of the box. ODU would then tally two insurance goals at 76:37 and 84:15.
The Cavs were outshot 17-7.
