Cavs Drill Oilers

(FINDLAY, Ohio) - Walsh improved to 10-4 on the season with a 7-2 GLIAC victory at the University of Findlay (4-9) today. The Cavs won two out of three GLIAC matches this weekend and remain in fourth place.  The GLIAC regular season is over, with the conference tournament starting October 25.

 The Cavs play two road, non-conference, matches this week.  They play at Millersville University on Thursday and at West Chester University on Friday. 

The Cavs took two out of three doubles matches, and won five of seven singles matches in posting the win. Sofya Logunova (Fr., Praha, Czech Republic/Russian Embassy School in Prague) won 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 at first singles to improve to 10-4 on the season.  She also won 8-5 with Alona Skobkina (Fr., Tarragona, Spain/Instituto Espan de Andorra) at first doubles. Skobkina won 6-4, 6-4 at fourth singles.

Daria Bondareva (Fr., Sankt-Petersburg, Russia/HS) won her fifth straight match at second singles; 6-3, 7-5, to improve her record to 11-3. Alisha Angle (Jr., Lexington, OH/HS) remained red hot in singles action, posting her 11th straight win, a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 triumph at fifth singles. Angle is 11-2 on the season.

Arina Kravtiz (So., Youngstown, OH/Boardman) and Anastasiya Dasik (Fr., Kiev, Ukraine/School N 40 ) won 8-6 at third doubles, with Kravitz also winning 6-3, 6-4 at sixth singles.
