(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) Walsh (0-14, 0-9) played well again, but lost in three sets to Northern Michigan University (8-7, 8-1) by set scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22. The Cavs are at Lake Superior State and Northwood University next weekend.

Walsh led most of the first set before falling 25-23. The set was tight throughout, with neither side leading by more than three points. Walsh led 23-20, but could not put the set away. NMU's Madison Whitehead had kills for two of the final three points.

The second and third sets followed the same script. The teams exchanged leads with NMU prevailing at the end.

Gina Kramer led Walsh with 14 kills. Kelsey Snider added seven kills and 10 digs. Emilee Muzechuk led Walsh with 12 digs and Kaitlin Bronikowski added 10. Haley Howell handed out 30 assists.
