(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh (4-5, 2-5) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the University of Findlay (3-7, 3-5) in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Len Milazzo Field today.

Each team would tally a first half goal. Findlay's Jared Lyon gave the Oilers a 1-0 lead at 25:32. Walsh's Simon Swales scored the equalizer on an assist from Darby Melville at 42:43. Findlay out shot the Cavs 8-3 in the first half.

Walsh would take a 2-1 lead at 68:45 as Kain Melville scored what proved to be the winning goal on an assist from Sam Mountstephens. Walsh out shot the Oilers 9-0 in the second half.

The Cavs are back in action in a pair of GLIAC games in Michigan next Friday against Northwood University on Sunday at Saginaw Valley.
