Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) Walsh fell to 2-23 overall, and to 2-15 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after falling in four sets to Ohio Dominican University (12-14, 10-7) by set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 13-25 and 17-25. The Cavs close the season at home tomorrow against Tiffin University in a GLIAC match at 3pm.
Walsh played one of their finest sets of the season in taking the opening set 25-14. Walsh led 8-5 when they went on a 12-2 run to ice the opening set. Gina Kramer had six kills, and Kelsey Snider four.
ODU evened the match with 25-19 win the second set, as the Panthers led from start-to-finish. The third set was all ODU, as they again led all the way. The Panthers raced to an 11-4 lead and never looked back. The fourth set was the same story, as the Panthers led early at 5-1. Walsh was able to settle down and get back into the set, and took their only lead at 17-16. But the Panthers regrouped with a 9-1 run to settle the issue.
Kramer led Walsh with 14 kills and a .290 hitting percentage. Snider and Kelly Miller added eight kills, and Haley Howell and Katy Frease each had five. Howell handed out 33 assists and libero Kaitlin Bronikowski had a match-high 25 digs. Dena Solly added ten digs.
