Box Score (PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – The Walsh men's soccer team had another tough go on the road as it lost 2-0 to Lake Erie in conference action on Sunday. The Cavaliers are now 3-4 overall and 1-4 in the GLIAC. The Storm improves to 3-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the conference.
The Storm scored its first goal late in the first half as Stuart Campbell tallied his fourth of the season on an assist from Ryan Gibson at 37:54. Alfred Majer then made it 2-0 in favor of Lake Erie with an unassisted goal in the 64th minute.
It was difficult to generate much offensive momentum as the Cavs were outshot 22-6. Lake Erie also held a 13-1 advantage on corner kicks.
Walsh will attempt to regroup as the face nationally-ranked Tiffin this Friday. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
