Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh gave all it had in an upset attempt of No. 11 Northwood, but eventually fell by a score of 1-0 on a sunny afternoon at Milazzo Field Sunday. It was a drastic turnaround from the first meeting between these two teams which saw the Timberwolves (10-1, 8-1) hand the Cavaliers (3-9, 1-8) a 9-1 defeat.
The Cavs held the visitors scoreless for the first two-thirds of the game as the defense disrupted numerous Northwood advances. Walsh was on defense for the majority of the game as it was out-shot 18-4 during the game.
Northwood's score came when James DeCosemo found himself inside the right side of the box and centered it to Keaton Levock who proceeded to flick it in at 62:23.
The Timberwolves had other opportunities to add to their lead, but Tom Jackson played one of his finest games in goal despite the loss with seven saves.
The Cavs remain at home for their next two contests which follow the traditional Friday-Sunday GLIAC schedule. Tiffin is next up and will visit North Canton on Friday. Kick-off with the Dragons is set for 7:30 p.m.
