Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – With a win in set one, Walsh appeared poised for an upset of Northwood Saturday afternoon, but the visitors pulled out the next three games for a 3-1 victory. The Cavaliers took an exciting first set in extra points 27-25, but the Timberwolves answered with the next three by scores of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-20.
Kelsey Snider led the attack with 13 kills. Liza Pflugradt added 10 as the only other player in double digits. Kaitlin Bronikowski recorded 20 digs. Olivia Zanolli had 12, Snider added 11, and Madison Music tallied 10. Zanolli also had a game-best in assists with 16.
Northwood's attack was led by Allison Getty. She was tough to stop up front as she had 20 kills on 45 attempts. Krysta Kramer backed her up with 14 kills.
Walsh is now on the road for its next three matches. First up is the Cavaliers' final non-conference contest of the year as they travel to Philippi, W.Va., to take on Alderson Broaddus on Tuesday. It is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
