(MIDLAND, Mich.) – Walsh couldn't come away with a win as it fell to Hillsdale college 5-0 in the seventh-place match at the GLIAC Tournament this weekend. The Cavaliers fall to 4-10 on the season while the Chargers improved the 8-7.
The Chargers took control of the match with wins in all three doubles matches. They secured the win with wins at fifth and sixth singles.
After the tournament, the All-GLIAC teams were announced with three Cavaliers making the list. Sofya Logunova earned All-GLIAC First Team honors after a spectacular fall season as the top singles and doubles player for Walsh. Daria Bondareva was selected to the All-GLIAC Second Team after an impressive fall as well. Asia Harris was selected to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team.
This is the third consecutive year that Logunova and Bondareva made their respective teams. Harris was also an honorable mention selection in 2013.
