Men's Soccer Struggles To Contain Dragons Offense

Box Score

(TIFFIN, Ohio) – The Walsh offense struggled as the men's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to hosting Tiffin in GLIAC soccer action Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers (3-7, 1-6) generated only three shots on goal, nine total, in the loss while the Dragons (5-4-2, 3-4) had 12 on goal out of 21 total.

The Dragons wasted little time getting on the board as Daniel Fallon scored off a free kick at the top of the box just 3:16 into the game. Tiffin added goals in the 11th and 43rd minutes to take a 3-0 lead into the break.

Fallon was just getting started, however, as he completed a hat trick with two more goals in the 48th and 69th minutes.

Marco Pavlek had two of Walsh's nine shots with one of them being on target. Michael Saddler also added two shots for the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers now return home for the bulk of the rest of the season starting with four consecutive home games. Five of their final six games will take place in Stark County. The first game will be against No. 13 Saginaw Valley State. Walsh will host the Cardinals on Friday with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
