Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – An impressive Findlay attack was too much for the Cavaliers as they dropped their penultimate home match of the season in three sets. Walsh (10-17, 3-12) was bombarded by an Oilers (19-7, 12-3) attack that hit 44.1 percent.
All three sets were similar as Findlay won by scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-14.
Walsh attempted to push the match to at least four sets with a strong start in the third. Findlay was able to bounce back though and battle even with the Cavs. Walsh held a 9-8 lead after a kill by Devin Hummel, but it was the Cavs' final advantage of the nice as the Oilers reeled off nine consecutive points en route to the win.
The Cavaliers attack only generated 27 kills in total and were paced by Gina Kramer with seven on 19 attempts. Hummel added five on 11 attempts. Kaitlin Bronikowski once again led the team with 10 digs. Olivia Zanolli tallied 15 assists.
Walsh will close out the home portion of its season tomorrow against Hillsdale. The first serve is set for 2 p.m. and seniors will be honored before the match.
