Box Score (AMHERST, N.Y.) – Sunday afternoon's game between Walsh and Daemen was a defensive stalemate as both squads played to a scoreless tie at Dimp Wagner Stadium. The Cavaliers are now 2-1-2 while the Wildcats are still searching for their first win at 0-2-1.
The game was pretty even in almost all facets of the game. Walsh held the advantage in shots 13-10, shots on goal 6-5, and corners 4-3, but the Cavs were unable to convert in the standoff. Sarah Berger (So., Wadsworth, Ohio/HS) had the most opportunities with three shots, two of which were on target.
Michaella Stucky (Sr., Medina, Ohio/HS) did pick up the shutout with five saves on the day. It's her second of the season.
The Cavaliers now turn to the GLIAC portion of the schedule with two games on the road next week. First up is a trip to Michigan to take on Northwood. That game will be Friday with a 2 p.m. kickoff.
