(MIDLAND, Mich.) – Northwood simply had too much firepower for Walsh as the hosts went on to win by a 9-1 count Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers have fallen to 2-3 on the season and are 0-2 in GLIAC play. The Timberwolves improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference. 

In the seventh minute of play, Northwood scored off a Joey Censoni goal assisted by Jack Smith. Only four minutes later, the Huskies struck again with a goal from James DeCosemo assisted by Adam Thomas. Walsh eventually got on the board in the 13th minute on a penalty kick from Junior Osei-Tutu. It was his first score of the year.

With a quick response, Northwood added another goal in the 26th and added another goal in the 36th minute. The second half was all Northwood as it scored five goals.

Walsh will travel to play Saginaw Valley on Sunday, kick-off is at 2:30 p.m.
