Women's Soccer Shut Out By Ferris State

(BIG RAPIDS, Mich.) – Ferris State scored the only two goals of the game in the first 31 minutes as Walsh fell in GLIAC action on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers dropped to 2-3-2 overall and are 0-2 in the conference while the Bulldogs improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the GLIAC.

Nichole Boehnke started the scoring with a goal in the 10th on an assist from Carley Dubbert. It was Boehnke's sixth goal of the season. Ferris State added its second goal as Dubbert was on the scoring end with a goal off a corner kick by Rachel Fouts.

Despite the loss, Michaella Stucky (Sr., Medina, Ohio/HS) played a strong game in goal with nine saves on 29 shots faced. Overall, the Cavs were outshot 29-20.

Walsh returns to action with a pair of home games next weekend. Michigan Tech is first up on the slate as the Cavs and Huskies do battle on Friday. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
