Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh men's soccer team was shutout at home by a score of 3-0 in GLIAC action on an overcast Sunday afternoon at Milazzo Field. The Cavaliers drop to 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the conference while the Storm improved to 6-3-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the GLIAC.
Lake Erie's first goal came in the 12th minute as Stuart Campbell and Chad Bencina connected for the early score. Campbell found the back of the net again late in the game at 72:55. The Storm's Miguel Espinoza provided the final score in the 85th minute.
Overall Walsh was outshot 17-8 in the game. The Cavs were able to find some scoring opportunities, but all three shots on goal were saved.
The Cavaliers will hit the road next weekend but remain in state as they meet with Findlay and Tiffin. Walsh will take on the Oilers first for the second time this season with kick-off slated for 4 p.m. on Friday.
