(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh was defeated by Northern Michigan in three games in GLIAC volleyball action on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (5-11, 1-7) dropped to the Wildcats (10-9, 4-4) by scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-21.

The Cavs were competitive with the Wildcats in each of the three games, but couldn't get over the proverbial hump. In the second set, Walsh saw a 21-20 lead and was tied at 23-23 after a pair of NMU errors, but the visitors answered with a kill and an ace to take a 2-0 lead.

In the third, Walsh went up 10-5 and forced the 'Cats to use both time outs by that point, but NMU rallied back to take the win.

Paola Ferrario led the Walsh attach with 13 kills on 25 attempts for an impressive hitting percentage of .400. Olivia Zanolli tallied 30 assists. Defensively Amanda Adoranti led the team with 10 digs.

Walsh now gears up for the Midwest Regional Crossover that will feature all teams in the GLIAC and GLVC along with selected teams from the G-MAC. The Cavaliers will play three matches during the weekend. Teams and times have yet to be determined.
