Walsh, Ferris State Fight to Scoreless Finish

Box Score

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Regulation and overtime wasn't enough for Walsh and Ferris State as the two schools fought to a 0-0 draw in double overtime on Sunday afternoon. It was the second tie of the season for the Cavaliers (6-4-2, 2-3-1) and third for the Bulldogs (3-6-3, 1-2-3).

Dani Shambaugh recorded the shutout, her second of the season and fourth for the Cavaliers as a team. She didn't have too much trouble as she stopped the only two shots on goal that Ferris State made.

Walsh controlled the majority of the tempo and outshot the Bulldogs 16-7 overall. The majority of those came in the second half when the Cavaliers took 13 shots, but only three were on goal and FSU's Grace Kraft was able to make the stop on all three occasions.

Neither team was able to get a shot off in the first overtime and only had one each in the second.

The Cavaliers remain at home for their next two games as they host Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech next weekend. Walsh will welcome the Wildcats first on Friday with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
