Box Score

(ASHLAND, Ohio) – Walsh took on another nationally ranked team this week in No. 17 Ashland in the final road game of the season. It was difficult for the Cavaliers (1-9) to get much going as they fell to the Eagles (8-2) 56-0.

The Cavaliers were limited to just 86 yards of total offense while the Eagles racked up 529 yards.

Walsh's best opportunity to score came late in the second quarter when Jacob Maloy attempted to tie a school record with a 53-yard field goal, but it fell short as the half expired.

Trevor Smith had one of the best defensive games of the season by any player as he made an astounding 20 tackles for a game and season high. Nick King also hit double digits with 15 on the day. Cody Meade added a quarterback sack and Demetrious Walton intercepted an Ashland pass to highlight the rest of the defense.

Walsh concludes the season next week at home against Northwood. Kickoff is set for noon.
