(CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh completed the trifecta and sweep of Malone with another 3-0 victory over its cross-town rivals at Osborne Hall on Election Day. The Cavaliers (10-17) defeated the Pioneers (7-23) by scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 25-18 to equal last year's win total.

The Cavs also defeated Malone in the first match of the season at home and were paired opposite of the Pioneers in the first match of the Midwest Region Crossover last month. Both of those matches ended 3-1 in favor of Walsh.

Olivia Hartman was the highlight of the offense as she delivered 12 kills on 22 attempts for a success rate of 45.5 percent. She was also a force on the front line as she blocked five attacks for co-match high honors.

Olivia Zanolli once again set up the offense with 34 assists on the evening. Defensively Amanda Adoranti led the team with 13 digs and Lauren Loucks played a pivotal role with 11. Emily Arnold and Justine Coffman also added four blocks on the night.

Walsh led for the majority of the contest with control of the first and third sets. Malone saw its only advantage in the middle set as the Pioneers took an 11-6 lead after a Walsh attack error. However, the Cavaliers were able to rebound with 7-1 rally to regain the lead after a Malone error.

The two teams were tied as late as 20-20 before a kill by Gina Kramer gave Walsh the lead for good. Kramer also ended the second set with an ace.

The Cavaliers return to action on Friday against Ohio Dominican and close the season with Senior Day against Lake Erie on Saturday. First serve on both days is scheduled for 5 p.m.
