(ROMEOVILLE, Ill.) – Friday Walsh was paired up with Maryville in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover hosted by Lewis University, but the Cavaliers fell by a score of 7-2. The Cavaliers fall to 6-16 on the season while the Saints improved to 4-5.
Sofya Logunova and Daria Bondareva put the Cavaliers on the board with a narrow 8-6 win at the top spot in doubles action against Puck Vlaskamp and Rebekah Anderson.
Asia Harris provided the Cavaliers other point with a thrilling come-from-behind win at No. 3 singles against Lucy Horbatowski. She dropped the first set 6-3 before she recovered to equal things out with a 6-0 win in the second set. Harris took the third set tiebreaker by a 10-7 count.
The Cavaliers will conclude the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover event hosted by Lewis University tomorrow.
