Box Score (COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Walsh fell to Ohio Dominican in GLIAC action by a score of 6-1 at Panther Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Cavaliers fall to 3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference. The Panthers improved to 2-1 overall and remained unbeaten at 2-0 in the GLIAC.
The Panthers scored early and often with two goals in the first four minutes en route to a 5-0 lead at halftime. Walsh eventually got on the board when Jordan Prescod found the back of the net in the 62nd minute thanks to an assist by Simon Miller. It was Prescod's first goal of the season.
Shots for both teams were comparable as ODU held a slight 18-15 edge over the Cavs. Walsh held an 8-7 advantage on corner kicks.
The Cavs will look to regroup as they travel to the Upper Peninsula for the first time ever to take on Northern Michigan. Kickoff with the first-year Wildcats is set for 4 p.m.
