(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Despite being down a man for the majority of the contest, Walsh found a way to come from behind draw with Northwood 2-2 Friday evening. The Cavaliers go to 3-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference while the Timberwolves are now 4-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the GLIAC.

Everything appeared to be going in Northwood's favor after the Timberwolves scored just three minutes into the contest as Ben Campbell scored his fourth of the season and one of the Cavaliers was sent off with a red card in the 23rd minute.

However, Walsh's Junior Osei-Tutu was able to find the back of the net thanks to an assist from Gary Canam for an equalizer in the 52nd minute. The momentum didn't last long as Northwood went back up again just 22 seconds later as Zachary Bakos scored on an assist from Campbell.

Refusing to give up, the Cavaliers took advantage of a set play late in regulation. Brett Sparks sent in the ball from the right side with Bailey Moody inside the box. Moody's shot was saved, but it kicked back out where Myles Cornwall was waiting. Cornwall promptly sent it to the right side of the net for his third goal of the season at 78:25.

Walsh controlled the majority of overtime possessions with two shots in the first overtime, but none were on target. The Cavs also held a 3-2 shot advantage in the second overtime, but only one was on target compared to both of Northwood's.

Overall, Cavs' goalie Tom Jackson faced 18 shots in 110 minutes and made eight saves on the night. He is now 0-1-1 on the season.

The Cavs will look for another result against another talented squad on Sunday as they welcome Saginaw Valley State. Kickoff with the Cardinals is scheduled for 1 p.m.
