(ALLENDALE, Mich.) – Grand Valley State held off Walsh from getting its first win in conference play as the Cavaliers fell to the Lakers 3-0 Saturday evening.

Gina Kramer had a match-high 16 kills as Grand Valley took the sweep against Walsh as the Lakers took the earlier lead in set one 25-16. The Cavs hung tight in the second at 20-21 before falling 25-21 and 25-16 in the third.

Olivia Zanolli added 29 assists with nine digs on the night. Erica Schiets added a team-high 13 digs. Amanda Adoranti followed with 11. 

The Cavs return home to play rival Malone on Tuesday. The match is slated for 7 p.m.
