(ELKINS, W.Va.) – Walsh remained unbeaten in the G-MAC with a four-set win over Davis & Elkins by scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18 on Friday evening. The Cavaliers improved to 11-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference. The Senators dropped to 4-8 and 2-3.

The win didn't come easy as D&E jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the fourth, but Walsh battled back and eventually tied the game at 11-11 after a kill by Gina Kramer. The Senators scored the next three points, but the Cavaliers responded with a strong rally where they scored 11 of the next 13 points to take a 22-16 lead en route to the win.

Walsh used a similar rally to take the first set. With the game tied 14-14, the Cavs scored eight of the next nine points to take a 22-15 lead to take the game. Davis & Elkins went on to tie the game with a second set win. The Cavs then took the third and didn't trail at any point in the set.

Justine Coffman made 16 kills on the evening to lead the Cavalier attack. Lauren Loucks joined her in double figures with 13 kills. Olivia Zanolli set them up with 44 assists.

Defensively Amanda Adoranti made 19 digs. Coffman paced the team up front with three blocks.

The Cavaliers will try to make it a perfect weekend in the Mountain State as they take on Alderson Broaddus tomorrow afternoon.
