Another Shutout For Women's Soccer in Win vs. Kentucky Wesleyan

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh returned to clean-sheet form with a 2-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan to remain unbeaten on the year. The Cavaliers are now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference, while the Panthers dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the G-MAC.

The Cavaliers have now recorded 14 shutouts in their last 25 games dating back to last season and have recorded six in seven this season.

It didn't take long to take the lead either as Brianna Sanborn scored unassisted just 140 seconds into the game. The score remained there until the 54th minute when Corynne Swift scored on assists by Ashley Dobbins and Olivia Peters.

On the opposite end Mickey McClanahan continued her incredible start to the season with four saves on six shots faced.

Overall, Walsh outshot Kentucky Wesleyan 23-6 on the day.

Walsh now heads on the road for another four-game trek. First up on the docket is Lake Erie this Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Painesville.
