(PEPPER PIKE, Ohio) – Saturday's game at Ursuline was a familiar result for Walsh as it defeated Ursuline 3-0 in G-MAC action. Not only did the Cavaliers (9-0, 6-0) remain unbeaten with their seventh shutout of the season, but Olivia Peters also added to her second-best conference point total with a goal and an assist against the Arrows (4-4-1, 4-3).

That goal was the first of day for the Cavaliers. It came on a rare free kick inside the box in the 21st minute. Peters gave the Arrows problems all day and actually outshot the hosts by a 12-8 margin. Overall Walsh added nine more shots for 21 on the day.

The score remained there until late in the game when the Cavs added two insurance goals. The first game when Corynne Swift found the back of the net on an assist from reigning G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week Brianna Sanborn in the 81st minute.

Just 23 seconds later, Hannah Bowman scored on an assist from Peters to put the game away.

On the opposite end, Mickey McClanahan came through when called upon with a season-high eight saves. With just three goals allowed on the season, her goals-against average now stands at 0.37.

With the halfway mark of the season now passed, Walsh heads on the road for its next two games. First up will be Findlay on Thursday. The Cavaliers will take on the Oilers with a 4 p.m. kickoff.
