Walsh Waltzes By Ohio Valley 95-57

Box Score

(VIENNA, W.Va.) – Walsh dominated from start to finish in a 95-57 victory over Ohio Valley in G-MAC action on the road Tuesday evening. The 38-point difference is the most this season for the Cavaliers (17-8, 14-5) as they swept the season series against the Fighting Scots (0-21, 0-17). It's also the second-most points they've scored this season since a 98-63 win against Alderson Broaddus back on December 2.

By the five-minute mark of the first quarter Walsh was already up by double-digits. By the end of the quarter, the Cavs commanded a 26-9 lead.

The offense was well balanced with 14 different players finding the scoring column and 13 making baskets from the field. Jamie Halloran paced the Cavaliers with 18 points on a spectacular night where she was 6-of-11 from the field, all of which came from behind the arc. Dominique Foley joined her in double-figures with 12 points and added four rebounds. Both players came off the bench.

Halloran's triples were also a big reason that the Cavs sank a season-best 14, two more than their previous high of 12 in a win against Lake Erie.

Walsh was also a force inside with a 51-34 edge in the rebound department. Seventeen of those were offensive rebounds that led to 21 second-chance points.

The Cavs now gear up for the annual Mayors' Cup game against arch-rival Malone. It's the final home game of the regular season and tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
