Dragons Spoil Solid Night For Cavs In Double-OT

Box Score

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh dropped a heartbreaker to Tiffin by a score of 1-0 in double overtime at Milazzo Field on Thursday evening. The Cavaliers fell to 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the G-MAC. The Dragons improved to 7-3 on the season and 5-2 in the conference.

Tiffin's Ramiesh McKnight was the spoiler on an otherwise great night for the Maroon and Gold. With Walsh holding possession deep in its own end, McKnight intercepted a pass that left him with one-on-one opportunity with Tom Jackson. He was able to get past Jackson with a slight touch to the right side to find the back of the net.

Despite the goal allowed, Jackson had an impressive night with seven saves on 19 shots faced in 101:37 of action. Walsh managed 13 shots in the game. Corner kicks also favored the Dragons 8-6.

The Cavaliers now start a stretch of six consecutive games on the road. The first of those will come against Findlay this Saturday with a 4 p.m. kickoff. The next home game for Walsh will be on Saturday, Oct. 20, against Malone.
